Quetta: Federal Levies Retired Employees End Protest After Assurance from Provincial Finance Minister

Quetta: Federal Levies retired employees have called off their protest following an assurance from Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani. The retired employees had set up a camp to demand their pending pensions, which had not been paid for over three years.
On Friday, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani visited the protest camp and engaged with the employees, assuring them that all their issues would be resolved promptly. He requested the retirees to end their protest, promising that their concerns would be addressed swiftly. In response to the minister’s assurance, the retired employees decided to terminate their protest.
Mir Shoaib Nosherwani further stated that a meeting with the retired employees would take place on Monday to resolve the matter. He emphasized that the demands of the Federal Levies employees were legitimate. Furthermore, Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sardar Fazal Buggti, had directed in a cabinet meeting that officials meet with the employees and settle their issues, ensuring that the resolutions would be in line with the employees’ preferences and included in the official cabinet minutes.
