Shahid Afridi Claims Indian Cricketers Are Pressured to Speak Against Pakistan
Expresses Pride in Pakistan Army, Calls It One of the World's Best Forces

Karachi: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has claimed that Indian cricketers are pressured to speak against Pakistan due to political influence, particularly from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. Afridi alleged that Indian players have privately admitted they are compelled to make anti-Pakistan statements.
“Indian players are under pressure to tweet and speak against Pakistan,” Afridi said, adding that the Modi regime has complete control over the media and other institutions.
The former captain also expressed strong pride in the Pakistan Army, calling it one of the best forces in the world. “I am extremely proud of Pakistan’s military. It is due to the sacrifices of our soldiers that we live in peace,” he said. He emphasized that the role of the military is vital for the nation’s security and sovereignty.
Referring to global issues, Afridi remarked, “Ask the Palestinians what freedom means,” highlighting the value of peace and independence. He concluded by saying, “We are all soldiers of our country — our 250 million people are the Pakistan Army.”
