Big News for the People of Punjab: Announcement of Airline and Bullet Train Services

Lahore: The provincial government of Punjab has made two major announcements that are sure to benefit the people of the province. The government revealed plans to launch a new airline, “Air Punjab,” and also announced the introduction of a high-speed bullet train service between Lahore and Rawalpindi.

In a press conference, Provincial Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bukhari, shared these exciting developments. She stated that the Punjab government is ready to launch “Air Punjab,” which will begin operations with four leased aircraft. Initially, it will offer domestic flights, and within a year, the airline will be granted an international air license.
Azma Bukhari also announced that the government will introduce the first-ever bullet train service in Pakistan, running between Lahore and Rawalpindi. The bullet train will complete its journey in just 2 hours and 20 minutes, making it the fastest train service in the country. In addition to this, several other bullet train routes will be developed across Punjab.
Bukhari further highlighted that the Punjab government is the first provincial government in Pakistan to announce its own airline and high-speed rail network. The government also plans to introduce a “Glass Train” service between Rawalpindi and Murree.
Pakistan’s Stand on Kashmir and Modi’s Statements
Commenting on the recent developments in Kashmir, Bukhari condemned the tragic incident in Pahalgam, where innocent civilians lost their lives. While Pakistan’s leadership expressed sympathy and condemned the attack, she pointed out that India had not condemned the attack on the “Jaffer Express” in Pakistan, where Pakistani forces rescued hostages and eliminated terrorists within hours.
She criticized India for its baseless allegations against Pakistan following the Pahalgam incident, accusing the Indian military of fabricating a plan to deflect attention from its own actions. Bukhari emphasized that Kashmir is a paradise on earth and lamented how such incidents were being used to harm the livelihoods of Kashmiri people.
Referring to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bukhari accused him of being a “global terrorist” and stated that whenever he comes into power, the world faces instability. She also remarked that Modi’s threats to block water to Pakistan were meaningless, citing the Indus Waters Treaty as a crucial international agreement that Modi could not unilaterally disrupt.
Bukhari reaffirmed Pakistan’s stance that the country is peaceful and does not seek conflict. However, she stated that if war were to be imposed upon Pakistan, it would be fought with the spirit of martyrdom and patriotism, not with weapons alone.
High-speed Developments and National Security Concerns
Azma Bukhari concluded by stressing the unity of the Pakistani nation when it comes to national security, pointing out that even political opponents come together to support the country in times of crisis. She also warned that India’s threats, including its attempts to disrupt Pakistan’s water supply, were futile and would only be met with resistance.
She expressed confidence that if the Pakistani government declared a jihad, the whole nation would unite and stand strong, just as they did when Pakistan conducted its nuclear tests in response to India’s nuclear detonations.
Key Developments:
Air Punjab to launch with 4 leased aircraft.
Bullet Train between Lahore and Rawalpindi to complete the journey in 2 hours 20 minutes.
Development of other high-speed rail routes within Punjab.
First-ever provincial government initiative to run its own airline and rail service in Pakistan.
Azma Bukhari’s remarks highlighted a strong message of resilience, emphasizing Pakistan’s resolve to defend its interests while pursuing progress and development within the country.
