Pakistan Keeps Wagah Border Open, Begins Return of Citizens from India

Lahore: Despite India closing the Attari border, Pakistan has kept the Wagah border open, and the return of Pakistani citizens from India has begun. According to sources, Pakistan’s side of the Wagah border remains open, and Pakistani nationals currently in India are expected to start their return today.
Officials state that the Indian government has granted Pakistani nationals with regular visas until May 1 to leave India. Additionally, Pakistani nationals holding SAARC visas have been given 48 hours to return, and their repatriation is also expected to commence today.
In light of the current situation, immigration and security officials on the Pakistani side of Wagah are actively monitoring the border. On the other hand, there are expectations of Indian nationals also returning from Pakistan in the near future.
According to a report from the BBC, after India canceled the visas of Pakistani citizens, the process of their repatriation is underway. Pakistani citizens who were in India have started arriving at the Attari-Wagah border for their return journey.
