Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Urges Unity Against Injustices in the Region

Gwadar – Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA), Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, called for a united stand between the Baloch and Pashtun communities against the ongoing injustices, exploitation, and oppression in Balochistan. He emphasized that both federal and provincial governments, along with powerful authorities, have played a role in turning Balochistan into a “desert,” depriving its people of basic necessities despite the region’s vast natural resources, including CPEC, Saindak, Chromite, Reko Diq, and gas reserves.
Speaking at an event in Gwadar, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman expressed deep concern over the lack of access to clean drinking water, healthcare, and education for Balochistan’s residents. He pointed out that the people of Balochistan are forced to leave their homeland to seek medical treatment and education outside the province due to the lack of resources and infrastructure.
He also highlighted the tragic plight of Balochistan’s youth, who are denied the right to peaceful democratic protests for missing persons, border closures, and the demand for their rights. Furthermore, he criticized the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, which are mainly benefiting other provinces, while the people of Balochistan are excluded from jobs and benefits in these projects. Instead, military operations, checkposts, and security forces dominate the region, adding to the unrest and misery.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman expressed frustration with the ongoing cycle of violence, target killings, bomb blasts, and protests in the province, calling out the federal and provincial governments, including ministers and assembly members, for their complicity in these crimes. He emphasized that without honest, brave, and dedicated leadership, the exploitation of Balochistan’s people will continue unabated.
The Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami reiterated his party’s commitment to fighting for the rights of the oppressed people of Balochistan, both inside and outside the provincial assembly. He urged the people to join Jamaat-e-Islami’s struggle for a better future, where the injustices of corruption, exploitation, and violence are replaced with peace, prosperity, and justice. He called for a united platform of progressive and patriotic leaders from Baloch, Pashtun, and all other communities under the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami to challenge the corrupt rulers and institutions.
He concluded by stating that through peaceful democratic struggle and resistance against the corrupt and oppressive forces, Balochistan can begin a new era of development, prosperity, and peace.
