Environmental Alarm as Dead Sea Turtles Found in Ormara: Concerns Over Industrial Pollution

Ormara:The discovery of dead sea turtles along the coast of Ormara has sparked a wave of concern among environmental protection agencies and local communities. On April 9, four dead turtles were found near the Ocean Three Star and Zalan Company sites, located along Dimi Zar beach. There are growing suspicions that industrial pollution may be responsible for their deaths.
According to local sources, the turtles were discovered right in front of the drainage lines of these companies, leading to fears that waste from these industrial units might be contributing to marine pollution. Environmental experts and local residents have raised alarms that the chemical waste discharged by fish processing units is posing a significant threat to marine life and the broader aquatic ecosystem.
Biologists suggest that the turtles may have died due to breathing contaminated water or ingesting toxic substances. Sea turtles are known to be sensitive and rare creatures, and their deaths could be a sign of environmental degradation that might severely impact the food chain and marine balance. Experts have warned that if industrial pollution is not controlled immediately, the oxygen levels in the ocean could decrease, causing further casualties among marine species.
Already under pressure from climate change, the marine environment faces another grave threat. Local communities and environmental organizations have urged government authorities to take immediate action, calling for a thorough and transparent scientific investigation. They emphasize that strict enforcement of environmental laws and immediate action against polluting units are essential to prevent further ecological damage.
