Foreign Food Franchise Attacked in Mirpurkhas After Karachi Incident

In a disturbing incident, a foreign food franchise in Mirpurkhas was attacked by a mob on Tuesday night, following a similar attack in Karachi. The attackers hurled stones, broke windows, and set the franchise on fire, causing significant damage.
The incident took place on Hyderabad Road, a well-known business area in Mirpurkhas. The angry mob targeted the franchise with vandalism before setting it ablaze. However, a heavy police presence arrived at the scene and dispersed the attackers by firing warning shots. Eleven individuals were arrested, and the situation was brought under control.
Police have vowed to take strict legal action against those involved in taking the law into their own hands.
Earlier on Tuesday, a similar incident occurred in Karachi’s Defence Khayaban-e-Ittehad area, where a group of protestors stormed a foreign food chain restaurant, breaking windows in the process. According to the police, the attackers were allegedly protesting against Israeli atrocities in Palestine.
Authorities have called for greater security and warned that such acts of violence will not be tolerated.
