JUI-F Leadership Reaffirms Commitment to Democracy, Islamic Values, and Protection of Religious Institutions

Quetta:Amir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Balochistan, Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay, along with General Secretary Maulana Agha Mahmood Shah and other members of the provincial executive committee, has reiterated the party’s longstanding commitment to upholding Islamic values, safeguarding religious seminaries, the restoration of democracy, and fighting for the protection of people’s rights.

In a joint statement, the leaders emphasized that JUI-F has been at the forefront of advocating for the implementation of an Islamic system, the protection of Madaris (religious schools), and the practical application of Shariah law. The party has always stood firm in defending Islamic education, ideological stability, and religious values against all efforts to diminish their role. The leaders recalled how various regimes have targeted Madaris, attempted to limit their role, and spread malicious campaigns to discredit them.

JUI-F has not only been vocal in defending Madaris, but also in preserving the Islamic identity of the country, safeguarding the belief in the finality of the Prophethood, and protecting the sanctity of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Under the leadership of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the party has made it a mission to confront all forces that have attempted to undermine the supremacy of Islam.

The statement also highlighted JUI-F’s historical resistance against laws and conspiracies that were contrary to Islam, and its unwavering commitment to continue this struggle without compromising on the integrity of Islamic values.

Further addressing the state of democracy in Pakistan, Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay and Maulana Agha Mahmood Shah pointed out that democracy has faced repeated threats over the years. They criticized electoral fraud, state interference in political processes, and the undermining of free and fair elections. They expressed that the establishment has historically sought to destabilize democratic governments and suppress public opinion through coercive means.

Despite these challenges, JUI-F has consistently worked towards strengthening democratic values, upholding the constitution, and advocating for the people’s right to rule. The party leaders specifically lauded Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s unwavering stance against military dictatorships and electoral malpractice, emphasizing his continued efforts to ensure that the people’s mandate is respected, and constitutional institutions remain independent.

The statement reaffirmed that democracy is not just about holding elections, but also about respecting public opinion, promoting transparent governance, maintaining an independent judiciary, and securing the fundamental rights of the people.

The JUI-F leadership also urged party workers to stay united and committed to strengthening the organization. They emphasized that despite all attempts by opposition forces to undermine the party’s influence, JUI-F has remained a powerful political force with the support of the majority of the people.

The spokesperson further emphasized that Maulana Fazlur Rehman may call on the nation to take action at any time, and party workers must be prepared to respond whenever leadership calls for collective action.

JUI-F reiterated that their struggle is not for temporary power, personal gain, or political ambitions, but for the implementation of an Islamic system, the supremacy of Shariah law, the restoration of democracy, and the protection of the rights of the people. Party workers were urged to continue their efforts in building a stronger and more united JUI-F, committed to the values of truth and justice, so the party’s mission can continue with greater strength and success.
