Two Killed and One Injured in Separate Traffic Accidents in Karachi

Karachi:Two tragic traffic accidents occurred in Karachi late last night, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and one injury.

In the first incident, a trailer collided with a motorcycle near Malir Court, causing the death of one person and injuring another. Police identified the deceased as Aamir and the injured as Sajid. After the accident, the trailer driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. According to the victim’s family, Aamir, who was born deaf and mute, had recently gotten married. He and Sajid, who is his brother-in-law, were returning to Quaidabad after dropping off a cousin at Cantt Station when the trailer crashed into their motorcycle.

In another accident near Shaheed-e-Millat Road, a motorcyclist, identified as Muhammad Shakir, collided with the rear of a dumper. Despite receiving medical attention, Shakir succumbed to his injuries. His family took his body from Jinnah Hospital without filing any formal complaint, police confirmed.

These incidents contribute to the alarming rise in traffic fatalities in Karachi, with 119 deaths recorded in just the first two months of the year. The victims included 87 men, 16 women, 12 boys, and 4 girls.
