Jamaat-e-Islami’s MPA Molana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch Calls for Unity in Struggle for Balochistan’s Rights

Quetta:Molana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA), emphasized the need for uniting all segments of society in Balochistan to fight for their rights. In a speech delivered at a large rally organized by Jamaat-e-Islami in Khanuzai, he criticized the ruling authorities, security forces, and powerful institutions for exploiting Balochistan’s resources.*
He accused the rulers and security institutions of treating the people of Balochistan as slaves, claiming that Balochistan’s agriculture, trade, borders, resources, and even governance were controlled by outsiders. Molana Hidayat-ur-Rehman stated that in Balochistan, the rule of law was undermined by force rather than the will of the people. He declared that the real terrorists in Balochistan were not those fighting in the mountains, but the rulers in Islamabad.
The MPA also voiced his opposition to the presence of the Frontier Corps (FC) in the province and denounced the closure of the Afghanistan and Iran borders, which he said had caused widespread unemployment. He criticized the hypocrisy of the central government, accusing them of allowing smuggling to be blamed for economic losses, while turning a blind eye to the lavish lifestyles of the ruling elite.
He further condemned the exploitation of the Baloch and Pashtun people, stating that the ruling class in Islamabad and Rawalpindi had no regard for the economic ties between the people of Balochistan and neighboring Afghanistan and Iran. He also criticized the unfair distribution of development projects, noting that major infrastructure like the CPEC motorway and other development initiatives were concentrated in Punjab, while Balochistan was neglected.
Molana Hidayat-ur-Rehman called on the people of Balochistan to raise their voices for their rights, pledging that Jamaat-e-Islami would continue to serve the people and protect their rights. He announced the launch of a new movement, “Haq Do Balochistan,” which would be supported by the people to fight for justice and prosperity for the province.
