We Will Not Let the Form 47-Imposed Government Sell Reko Diq and Balochistan’s Resources Cheaply: Maulana Abdul Wasay
Establishing Peace Without Fresh Transparent Elections Is Impossible; Governor's Rule Conspiracies Rejected; Border Trade Restrictions Should Be Lifted: JUI

QUETTA (Daily Quadrat Quetta) — Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan (JUI) provincial Ameer Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay, addressing an important and detailed press conference alongside members of the provincial working committee, expressed concern over the current political situation in the country and the province. He said JUI will keep the banner of truth and right raised, will call right right and wrong wrong, and character assassination of the party leader will not be tolerated in any case.
During the press conference, Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay said that, as in 2018, governments across the country have been established on the basis of Form 47, and even Mohsin Naqvi has opposed the Form 47 formula. Demanding the holding of transparent and immediate general elections, he said peace and order will be established only by holding fresh and transparent elections in the country, and all other crises, including the elimination of terrorism, will be resolved. He announced that JUI will undertake a detailed tour of all districts of Balochistan from 17 to 25 November to awaken and organise the people.
Maulana Abdul Wasay strongly opposed the emergency and governor’s rule in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying that the imposition of governor’s rule in Balochistan would also be illegal and is rejected. He demanded that the Mines and Minerals and Madrasas acts be presented on the floor of the Balochistan Assembly in due form, because JUI has a clear and unambiguous position on all national and provincial resources, including Reko Diq, and will not let anyone sell public resources cheaply. He also expressed concern over restrictions on Pakistan-Afghanistan and Pakistan-Iran border trade and demanded that the borders be opened immediately and employment opportunities be provided to the local population.
