Suspending KP Government’s Constitutional Rights Won’t Solve Problems; It Will Deepen the Crisis: Asad Qaiser

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — PTI leader Asad Qaiser has said that suspending the constitutional rights of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will not solve problems but will further deepen the crisis. He said the fake government is spending as much energy on finding constitutional loopholes to remove the KP government as it should be spending elsewhere. In a tweet on X, he said that if the fake government devoted as much attention to giving Imran Khan, his wife, the party’s imprisoned leadership, and workers their constitutional rights and the opportunity for a clean, transparent, and fair judicial trial in accordance with the Constitution, the country’s situation would be different.

He said that if the public mandate given in the February 8 elections had been accepted, the promises made to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the time of the merger of the former FATA had been fulfilled, the province’s rightful share under the NFC Award had been given, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s constitutional net hydel power profit and other dues had been paid on time, then the country would not be facing this political and economic instability today.

The government must understand that suppressing the public mandate, destabilizing the provincial government, and suspending basic human and constitutional rights do not solve problems but deepen the crisis further. The path to political stability in the country can only emerge from respect for the public mandate, the supremacy of the Constitution, payment of the provinces’ constitutional rights, and the uniform rule of law, he said.

Meanwhile, according to a report, differences have emerged over the postponement of the long march under the leadership of PTI and the Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan. A private TV channel, citing sources, claimed that Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan says it was not taken into confidence over the postponement of the September 27 long march. The leadership did not disclose where the long march was to begin and where it was to end. According to Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan, the PTI leadership neither formed a coordination committee for the long march nor was any preparation visible; there was neither an administrative committee nor a finance committee for the long march. A comprehensive agenda for the long march had been given to PTI, but the announcement to postpone the long march was made without consultation.

Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan said that PTI workers are angry over the postponement of the long march, and PTI has not consulted on the October 4 long march either. It said no one has contacted Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan behind the scenes, while Barrister Gohar says there are backdoor contacts with them. According to it, PTI should have held the long march on September 27 itself, and it should have ensured the long march reached Islamabad by October 4.
