Pakistan and Chinese Investors Can Unlock New Opportunities Together: Finance Minister

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, has emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to its reform agenda while underscoring the importance of strengthening partnerships with Chinese investors.

During an important meeting in **Beijing** with **Jing Feng, Chairman of Hongta Securities**, the finance minister highlighted Pakistan’s recent economic performance and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to continue structural reforms aimed at achieving sustainable and inclusive growth.

Senator Aurangzeb noted that **international credit rating agencies** have shown increasing confidence in Pakistan’s economy. He expressed satisfaction over recent upgrades, pointing out that **Moody’s improved Pakistan’s rating from Caa2 to Caa1 (Stable Outlook), Fitch from CCC+ to B- (Stable Outlook), and Standard & Poor’s (S\&P) from CCC+ to B- (Stable Outlook).**

Both sides also discussed avenues to enhance cooperation in **capital markets** and deepen financial sector linkages between Pakistan and China.

The finance minister stressed that Pakistan is working to diversify financial resources and strengthen ties with both **global and Chinese institutional investors**. He reiterated: *“Pakistan attaches great importance to its partnership with Chinese investors. Together, we can unlock new opportunities that will stabilize our economy and deepen financial cooperation.”*
