Embroidery of Patience and Hope Behind Bars! Dr. Yasmin Rashid’s Embroidery Stuns Everyone

LAHORE (Qudrat Daily) — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf detained leader and former Punjab Health Minister, 76-year-old Dr. Yasmin Rashid, has amazed everyone by hand-embroidering beautiful and captivating designs on pillows and sofa cushions during the hardships of imprisonment.

Senior journalist Hamid Mir shared a news item along with a post on the social media platform X that on the occasion of her birthday on September 21, the amazing skill and creative ability of Pakistan’s distinguished gynecologist and political leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid gained intense popularity on social media. While living in the dark corridors of jail and behind bars, she has embroidered colorful designs on cloth with the help of a needle and thread, in which elephants, horses, birds, butterflies, flowers and captivating floral patterns are prominently visible.

She has titled this artistic creation “Beyond The Bars.”

Expressing her feelings about this presentation and her art, Dr. Yasmin Rashid wrote that this creation was made not in any studio but behind bars, where every stitch on the cloth is a symbol of patience and every color is a new ray of hope. When time comes to a complete halt and the soul feels empty, creative work provides solace to a person, and one must have firm conviction that even in the harshest and darkest circumstances, beauty emerges and endures.
