Disappearing Living Human Beings Unconstitutionally and Illegally Is Destroying Families; Maulana Hidayatur Rahman Baloch Expresses Concern Over 18-Day Disappearance of Talib Abdul Haq

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, MPA Maulana Hidayatur Rahman Baloch, has said that disappearing living human beings unconstitutionally and illegally is destroying family after family. Deputy Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Chaman, Talib Abdul Haq, has been missing for 18 days — where are the government and institutions? The government and relevant institutions should immediately take notice, recover him safely, and hand him over to his family.
He expressed these views during a conversation with delegations at the Jamaat-e-Islami Provincial Secretariat in Quetta. He said that the disappearance of loved ones and young girls and boys going toward the mountains cause great sorrow and regret; this is a black stain on the face of democratic government. In Balochistan, someone or the other has gone missing from every household. FC, police, forces, stations, and checkposts are all helpless or silent. In these circumstances, the mothers of Balochistan are passing through severe anguish and suffering. Mothers and sisters look toward the doors of their homes every day with hopeful eyes. Every day passes like a judgment day for the homes of the disappeared. For God’s sake, the government and institutions should seriously resolve this issue.
He said that the problems of the youth should be resolved, facilities and ease should be provided for employment and trade, and borders should be opened for legal trade. Immediate, practical, and sincere efforts should be made to win the hearts of the people, eliminate hatred and prejudice, and reduce grief and anger. Experiments such as the use of coercion, threats, and force, including military operations, should be stopped. It is the responsibility of the state and government to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives, property, honor, and fundamental constitutional rights, to provide timely information to the families in every case of a missing person, and to take action in accordance with the law.
He said that the solution to problems lies not in force but in the Constitution, law, justice, negotiations, and restoration of the people’s trust. Instead of viewing the people of Balochistan with suspicion, their legitimate demands should be heard, and practical steps should be taken to end deprivations. By providing opportunities for education, employment, business, and legal trade to the youth, they can be brought out of despair and uncertainty. The government should immediately take all relevant parties into confidence and take serious steps for a permanent and acceptable solution to the issue of missing persons.
