JUI Expresses Concern Over Deteriorating Khanaei Baba–Ziarat Road, Demands Immediate Restoration

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Balochistan, in an official press release, emphasized that the party remains committed to maintaining political decency, ethical values, and public service. JUI stated that it has always struggled for the resolution of public issues, ensuring that citizens are never left alone in difficult circumstances.
The statement expressed deep concern over the worsening condition of the Khanaei Baba–Ziarat Road, which has suffered from unnecessary delays in repair and maintenance. The road is a vital link not only for Ziarat but also for Sanjavi, Duki district, and Loralai residents.
According to the press release, the road has deteriorated to the point of resembling ruins, and with snowfall approaching, even pedestrian movement may become impossible. The party highlighted that the road serves as a crucial route for transporting patients to the provincial capital, yet the negligence of relevant authorities has turned this issue into a serious humanitarian concern.
JUI further noted that several other important roads in the region are also in a state of decline, causing severe mobility issues for the public. Following persistent problems with gas and electricity, deteriorating roads have added to the hardships faced by residents. Citizens of Ziarat, already enduring harsh winter conditions, are now forced to deal with administrative negligence that has intensified their difficulties.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Balochistan has urged the provincial government to ensure the immediate restoration and completion of the Khanaei Baba–Ziarat Road on a priority basis to prevent further risks and hardships, especially as the winter season has already begun.
