Five Workers from Punjab Killed in Gun Attack in Balochistan’s Mashkayl

Quetta: Five workers from Pakistan’s Punjab province were killed after unidentified armed men opened fire in the Mashkayl area of Washuk district, Balochistan, according to the district administration.

Officials said the victims were working at local shops when the attackers opened indiscriminate fire, killing all five at the scene. The deceased were residents of different areas of Punjab.

The assailants fled the scene immediately after the attack. Security forces and local authorities launched an investigation and began collecting evidence.

The district administration said the bodies of the victims are being sent to their hometowns after the completion of the required legal formalities. Authorities have initiated an investigation to identify the attackers and determine the motive behind the incident.
