Afghan Intelligence Card Recovered From Militant Killed in Mastung Operation: Security Sources

MUSTUNG: Security sources have shared important details about the items recovered from militants killed during an operation in Mastung, claiming that Afghan nationals were among those killed in the encounter.
According to the security sources, an identification card issued by Afghanistan’s General Directorate of Intelligence was recovered from a slain militant identified as Zulfiqar.
An Afghan Tazkira (national identity document) was also recovered from another militant, identified as Khalil Ahmed, the sources said.
According to Jang, security forces conducted an operation in the Kank Valley area of Mastung on the previous day after militants attempted to attack a security post.
The sources said security forces killed two militants during the initial exchange of fire. Seven other militants, described by the sources as “Khawarij,” were subsequently killed after security forces pursued those who attempted to flee the area.
Three motorcycles, weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain militants, according to the security sources.
One security personnel was wounded during the exchange of fire, the sources added.
