Fugitive Commander Noor Khan Bugti Returns to National Mainstream with 59 Associates and Family Members

DERA BUGTI: Fugitive commander Noor Khan Bugti, along with his associates and family members, has surrendered and returned to the national mainstream, taking an oath of allegiance to Pakistan before Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
A total of 60 people, including Noor Khan Bugti, laid down their arms at Pakistan House in Sui in the presence of the chief minister and pledged loyalty to Pakistan.
The development took place during an open public forum held by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti in Sui. According to the information provided, Noor Khan Bugti had been hiding in the mountains for around 20 years and had previously been involved in several terrorist activities.
Following his return to the national mainstream, Noor Khan Bugti is expected to settle in Sui with his family. The development is being viewed as an important step towards improving law and order and promoting lasting stability in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said loyalty to the state of Pakistan, adherence to the Constitution and law, and national unity were the foundations of sustainable peace and development.
He said establishing peace and stability throughout Balochistan and other parts of the country was a collective national responsibility. Recognising the authority of the state, abandoning violence and returning to the national mainstream were essential to achieving this objective, he added.
“Pakistan is our common homeland, and no compromise can be made on its security, sovereignty and stability,” the chief minister said.
The chief minister maintained that violence and unrest could not provide lasting solutions to problems. Instead, the path to national progress lay through peace, mutual trust, the rule of law and collective efforts.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the people of Balochistan wanted peace, development and prosperity. He urged the province’s youth to utilise their abilities for national progress and play a constructive role in Pakistan’s development.
He added that returning to the national mainstream and reaffirming allegiance to the state could have positive consequences not only for the individuals concerned but also for their families and the future of their communities.
The chief minister said state institutions were fulfilling their responsibilities to establish lasting peace in Balochistan. However, he emphasised that cooperation from all segments of society was equally important for strengthening national unity, ensuring compliance with the law and achieving shared development goals.
