Kashmir Solidarity Day a Reminder to Awaken Global Conscience: Jamal Shah Kakar

**Quetta:** Pakistan Muslim League-N Balochistan General Secretary and Member of the National Assembly Jamal Shah Kakar has said that Kashmir Solidarity Day is not merely a symbolic expression of unity but an important reminder to awaken the conscience of the international community.
In a message issued on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Jamal Shah Kakar stated that Indian actions in Indian-occupied Kashmir have pushed the entire region towards instability, where civil liberties are being severely suppressed and social and economic life has been paralyzed.
He said that the people of Kashmir are not just part of a political dispute but represent a living human tragedy, whose voices are being silenced through the use of force. He urged international human rights organizations to move beyond statements and ensure independent and transparent investigations into the ground realities.
Jamal Shah Kakar emphasized that the silence of the global community strengthens oppression, while Pakistan considers support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination as a core pillar of its foreign policy. He said Kashmir Solidarity Day renews Pakistan’s commitment that the oppressed people of Kashmir are not alone.
He further said that the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been facing Indian oppression, coercion, and state terrorism for decades. He described serious human rights violations by Indian forces, including extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and the indiscriminate use of pellet guns, as an open challenge to the conscience of the world.
