Reign of Drug Dealers and Robbers in Quetta; Open Drug Use Pushing Young Generation to the Brink of Destruction

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – Once again, drug dealers and criminal elements have raised their heads in various areas of the provincial capital Quetta. Open drug use has pushed the young generation to the brink of destruction, while rising thefts and robberies are depriving poor people of mobile phones, cash, and valuables on a daily basis.

Speaking to the media, citizens said that the number of drug addicts is increasing rapidly also because young people do not get opportunities for sports and positive activities. The open use and sale of drugs on Quetta’s main highways and areas has also raised a question mark on the administration’s performance.

Area residents said that incidents of mobile phone and motorcycle snatching on a daily basis have left the public in severe mental anguish. They demanded that the government, senior police officials, and especially the Chief Justice of Balochistan take immediate notice and carry out a full crackdown against drug dealers and criminal elements so that the public can get relief.
