“We Are Not Coming to Islamabad to Raid or Conquer; We Will Come with Two Feet and Hands” — Shafi Jan

Lahore (Qudrat Daily) — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan has said that we are not coming to Islamabad to raid or conquer; we will come with two feet and hands. We will have nothing with us. If the government’s preparations are complete, then our preparations are greater than theirs. We want a “once for all” riddance from the government.
Speaking on a Samaa News program, he said that practically, the law has ended in Pakistan. The way our ministers were treated, the way Aleema Khan, Noreen, Uzma Bibi, and Shakeel were treated — they were picked up. The law has ended in the country; the Constitution is suspended. PTI’s September 27 call is final. Protest is constitutional in Pakistan. Under which law are they picking people up? We are not coming to Islamabad to raid; the government is digging trenches and erecting containers.
We are not coming to Islamabad to raid or conquer; we will come with two feet and hands. We will have nothing with us. If the government’s preparations are complete, then our preparations are greater than theirs. PTI wants “once for all” this time; we too want a “once for all” riddance from the government. The preparations are complete.

Similarly, in his reaction on X, Shafi Jan said that Mohsin Naqvi should not make the funerals of martyrs a subject of political rhetoric; using the funerals of martyrs for political point-scoring is highly regrettable. The continuous press conferences of federal ministers show that they are severely frightened of the PTI long march. When federal ministers talk about the law, they should also remember the fundamental rights of the people granted in the Constitution.
Mohsin Naqvi says they will formulate a permanent strategy to deal with PTI. We want to ask: why was this same strategy not formulated for economic stability? Mohsin Naqvi has perhaps forgotten that the economy is being damaged not by PTI but by their so-called experienced economic team. We will by no means be intimidated by the federal government’s threats. The Form 47 government should remember that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has long been facing government oppression and tyranny.
If the federal government is not afraid of the long march, why has Islamabad already been turned into a “Container City”? Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will never relinquish its constitutional and democratic rights. The September 27 protest is our constitutional right; it cannot be stopped through threats. In another tweet, Shafi Jan said that the picking up of Provincial Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan from Peshawar by unidentified individuals is a direct attack on the Constitution, the law, democracy, and the public mandate.
