CM E-Bike Scheme Phase 2 Registration Begins in Punjab

LAHORE (Qudrat Daily) — Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched Phase 2 of the CM E-Bike Scheme, opening an online portal for students across the province.

Within just two days of the portal opening, more than 432,000 students have registered, while the registration process for approximately 265,000 students is currently underway. More than 108,000 applications have also been submitted for the scheme.

Students can apply for the CM Electric Bike Scheme until October 4.

Under the eligibility criteria, applicants must possess a Punjab domicile or CNIC and be a regular student enrolled in an HEC-recognized college or university. Applicants must also be at least 18 years of age, while only one student per family will be eligible to receive an e-bike.

The Punjab government has waived the down payment for students under this scheme. It will also cover interest and insurance costs, allowing successful applicants to pay only Rs 3,028 per month.

Students receiving the electric bike will also get a free helmet and safety rod. In addition, they will undergo two days of training to learn how to ride the e-bike safely.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed authorities to ensure the delivery of electric bikes within six weeks after the completion of the application process.
