Tragedy in Quetta’s Kharotabad: Brother Shot Dead by His Own Sibling

QUETTA – In a tragic incident in the Kharotabad area of Quetta, a man was shot dead by his own real brother, police confirmed. The suspect was arrested within minutes of the incident, and the weapon used in the killing was recovered from his possession.

According to police, information about the firing incident was received at the Kharotabad police station, following which SHO Ehsanullah Marwat immediately rushed to the scene with his team. Upon arrival, they assessed the situation and began an investigation based on preliminary information and available evidence.

Suspect Named, Weapon Recovered

Initial investigations revealed that the suspect, identified as Nematullah, allegedly opened fire and killed his own brother, Hikmatullah. Following the incident, a sense of concern spread through the area, and police cordoned off the locality to begin the search for the accused.

The Kharotabad police acted swiftly and arrested the suspect Nematullah within just 20 minutes of the incident. According to officials, a 9mm pistol, which was allegedly used in the crime, was also recovered from his possession.

Police have taken the weapon into custody and initiated further legal proceedings. The investigation has been expanded to determine the motives behind the killing, including whether there was any dispute or enmity between the two brothers.
