Tri-Nation Series Kicks Off Today with Pakistan Facing New Zealand

The highly anticipated Tri-Nation Series featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa begins today, with the opening match set to take place between Pakistan and New Zealand at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
On Friday, the captains of all three teams unveiled the series trophy during a ceremony. Ahead of the match, the New Zealand team held a practice session in Lahore. Kiwi captain Mitchell Santner, while posing for a photo with the trophy, expressed the significance of the Tri-Nation Series ahead of the Champions Trophy. This is Santner’s first visit to Lahore, and he described the Gaddafi Stadium as “very beautiful.”
According to sources, Pakistan’s final playing eleven for the opening game against New Zealand will see Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman opening the innings. The other players in the lineup will include Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Rizwan, Tayyab Tahir, Salman Agha, and Khushdil Shah. The bowling attack will feature Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed.
This series will serve as an important opportunity for both teams to prepare for the upcoming Champions Trophy.
