Torrential Rains Cause Devastation Across Pakistan

Kohat:Recent heavy rains have wreaked havoc across various regions of Pakistan, resulting in multiple casualties and significant damage. In Kohat, 11 lives were tragically lost after a flash flood swept through residential areas. Additionally, in Nangarparakar and Chachro, 9 people were killed due to lightning strikes. The torrential downpour also caused widespread disruption in Raipur, where three fatalities occurred due to collapsing roofs and electrocution incidents.
The Meteorological Department has issued alerts for continued heavy rainfall in southern, northern, and central regions of the country throughout the upcoming week. Flash floods have been reported in several areas, including Ziarat, Sanjawi, Duki, and Loralai in Balochistan, exacerbating the already dire situation. Authorities are on high alert, warning of possible landslides in hilly regions and urging residents to take precautions.
In Punjab and Sindh, flooding has submerged many districts, affecting daily life and causing significant damage to infrastructure. The situation remains critical as rescue and relief efforts continue amidst ongoing rain forecasts.
