PSL 10: Major Blow for Karachi Kings as Key Player Ruled Out Due to Injury

KARACHI: Former champions Karachi Kings have suffered a major setback ahead of their opening match in the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Aggressive opening batter Litton Das has been ruled out of the tournament after sustaining an injury during a practice session.
According to an official statement from Karachi Kings, two players have been added to the squad as replacements. Australian wicketkeeper-batter Ben McDermott has been named as a replacement for Litton Das, who was originally picked in the Silver category during the PSL 2025 players draft.
In addition to McDermott, Pakistan U19 captain and wicketkeeper-batter Saad Baig has also been included in the squad as a partial replacement for New Zealand’s Kane Williamson. Williamson, who was selected in the Supplementary category, will not be available during the Karachi leg of the tournament.
Saad Baig was previously part of Karachi Kings in the Emerging category last season and will now have another opportunity to prove his talent at the big stage.
