Provincial Advisor for Sports and Youth Affairs Mina Majid Baloch Emphasizes the Importance of Forests on International Day of Forests

On the occasion of International Day of Forests, Provincial Advisor for Sports and Youth Affairs Mina Majid Baloch delivered a powerful message emphasizing the crucial role of forests in ensuring the survival, environmental balance, and secure future for upcoming generations. She stressed the need to protect natural resources and promote tree plantation to turn the dream of a Green Balochistan into a reality.

Mina Majid Baloch pointed out that forests not only prevent soil erosion and protect against natural disasters, but also play a significant role in oxygen supply, preserving water resources, and maintaining biodiversity. She added that the devastating floods of 2022 in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, have proven that if deforestation is not stopped and the importance of tree plantation is not recognized, the consequences of environmental destruction could become even more severe.

The advisor urged the youth to actively participate in tree plantation campaigns, plant trees in their homes, schools, and neighborhoods, and become ambassadors for environmental conservation. She emphasized that Balochistan’s youth, through their energy and determination, have the potential to lay the foundation for a green and prosperous future.
