Prime Minister Announces Special Courts and University Quotas for Overseas Pakistanis

Islamabad: The Prime Minister of Pakistan has announced the establishment of special courts for overseas Pakistanis, along with dedicated university quotas for their children.
Addressing the Overseas Pakistanis Convention, the Prime Minister stated that overseas Pakistanis will now be considered as tax filers. A 5% quota will be allocated for their children in all chartered universities, while a 15% quota will be set aside in medical universities across the country.
The Prime Minister also announced that these special courts will allow overseas Pakistanis to appear via video link, making legal proceedings more accessible for those living abroad.
He further appreciated the contributions of overseas Pakistanis, revealing that in March alone, they sent a record $4.1 billion in remittances. “If this continues, the country will see even greater development,” he added.
