Pakistan’s Army Chief Asserts Terrorism Cannot Disturb Nation’s Destiny, Stresses National Unity

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has firmly stated that no amount of terrorism can alter the fate of Pakistan, emphasizing that even ten generations of terrorists cannot harm Balochistan or Pakistan. Speaking at the inaugural Overseas Pakistanis Convention, General Munir assured the overseas Pakistani community of the unwavering support and dedication of the country’s leadership to their cause.
He stated, “Pakistan’s enemies may think that a handful of terrorists can decide the country’s destiny, but they are mistaken. Ten generations of terrorists cannot damage Balochistan or Pakistan.” Highlighting the strategic importance of Balochistan, the COAS called the province “Pakistan’s destiny and the jewel of our forehead.”
General Munir praised the Overseas Pakistanis, referring to them as the “light of Pakistan” who spread the country’s influence globally. He stressed that they are not just ambassadors of Pakistan but its shining example, and those who propagate the narrative of “brain drain” should instead recognize the “brain gain” that overseas Pakistanis represent.
The Army Chief also addressed the diaspora’s role in preserving the country’s legacy, urging them to share the story of Pakistan’s foundation with the next generation. “You are the custodians of the story of our ancestors, who fought for the creation of this nation,” he said.
Speaking on national security, General Munir emphasized that the strength of Pakistan lies in the unity of its people and armed forces. “As long as the brave people of this country stand with the Pakistan Armed Forces, no enemy can harm us,” he added. He reiterated that Pakistan’s military is fully capable of overcoming any challenges.
Addressing the broader strategic context, the COAS declared that Pakistan has been blessed with abundant resources, for which the nation must always be grateful. He reaffirmed the country’s commitment to development, stating, “We are sending a clear message that anyone who tries to hinder Pakistan’s progress will be overcome by our united strength.”
The Army Chief also made a heartfelt statement regarding the plight of Gaza, declaring, “The heart of every Pakistani beats with the people of Gaza.” In a final call for unity, he reminded the overseas Pakistanis that their heritage belongs to a great civilization, one that refuses to bow before any adversity.
General Munir concluded his speech by reiterating the national dream of achieving the vision set forth by Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam, and called on the nation to rise in unity and pride, for Pakistan is not just any country, but a great and powerful nation.
The speech ended with a resounding chorus of “Pakistan Zindabad” from both the Army Chief and convention participants.
