Islamabad:Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has alleged that General Faiz Hameed played a significant role in the May 9 attacks on military installations. In a recent television interview, Asif stated that General Faiz Hameed was involved in identifying and targeting military locations during the incidents.
Asif further claimed that General Faiz had lobbied for his appointment as Army Chief and, after being unsuccessful, used the frustration of PTI supporters to facilitate the attacks on military targets. The Minister suggested that General Faiz’s desire for ultimate power influenced these actions.
