Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Criticizes Government’s Incompetence and Security Forces in Balochistan

Gwadar:Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of Provincial Assembly, Mullah Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, has expressed concerns over the incompetence and insincerity of the ruling class, security forces, and influential powers in Balochistan, stating that the people are frustrated and protesting due to their lack of concern. He further criticized that the peaceful public is being denied the democratic right to protest. The lack of rights, denial of resources, and the excessive use of power are exacerbating the situation.
In a speech at a ceremony and during discussions with delegations in Gwadar, Mullah Hidayat-ur-Rehman said that the closure of Balochistan’s borders, abductions, and disappearances of individuals have worsened the conditions, leading to growing unemployment, poverty, and increasing anger among the people. He emphasized that, despite claims to the contrary, the government is failing to address the issues of poverty, unemployment, and border closures, which are severely affecting the people of Balochistan.
He stated that Balochistan’s youth and families are in distress due to missing loved ones, while the authorities and institutions remain indifferent to their recovery. Instead of providing the rightful resources, employment, education, and health facilities to the people, the government is worsening the situation by using force, he added.
Mullah Hidayat-ur-Rehman further condemned the occupation of resources, businesses, and jobs in Balochistan by the powerful, along with the ongoing military operations, which are violating people’s privacy and democratic rights. He pointed out the illegal actions taking place and criticized the authorities for being unresponsive to the needs of the people.
He accused security forces and incompetent rulers of turning Balochistan into a desert, forcibly imposing themselves on the people under different political parties over the years.
Mullah Hidayat-ur-Rehman also highlighted that the youth, traders, and the general public in Balochistan are unhappy due to corruption, extortion at checkpoints, and exploitation by military institutions at the borders and coastal areas. He mentioned that the workers, farmers, doctors, traders, shopkeepers, students, and the general public are all protesting, while the ruling authorities and powerful forces are watching their misery.
He concluded by saying that only through unity can the people take back their rights from the exploiters. Jamaat-e-Islami is leading a movement for the rights of the people of Balochistan, and with the strength of the public, this movement will succeed, God willing.
