Sindh Government Takes Strong Action Against Corrupt Officials Involved in Land Encroachment and Fraud

Advisor to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Najmi Alam, and Director General of the Sindh Katchi Abadi Authority, Engineer Abdul Kashif Khan, have taken significant steps against corrupt officials. They dismissed officers involved in facilitating the illegal activities of Rashid Arain, who was involved in the creation of fake land files and illegal land encroachment in Sindh.
Rashid Arain, a former employee of Rangers, was dismissed from his position due to corruption allegations. Two separate FIRs were filed against him—FIR No. 2025/184 at Manghopir police station on February 6, 2025, and FIR No. 2025/109 at Gulshan-e-Mimar police station on March 13, 2025. As a result, Rashid Arain was arrested, and further legal investigations are underway.
Director General Engineer Abdul Kashif Khan has expanded the scope of the investigation, directing a more aggressive approach towards legal action against additional officers involved in illegal activities within the department and the land mafia. The authorities have vowed to take swift legal steps to eradicate corruption in land dealings and encroachments.
