Islamabad:Renowned Pakistani actress Manal Khan has revealed that her mother was initially not in favor of her marriage to actor Ahsan Mohsin Ikram. The twin sisters from the Pakistani showbiz industry, Aiman Khan and Manal Khan, recently appeared on a podcast where they candidly discussed various personal topics, including their family life and relationships.
During the podcast, Manal Khan shared that when she first approached her mother about marrying Ahsan, her mother rejected the idea. She explained that it is quite common for mothers to disapprove of their daughter’s choice of a boyfriend, and at the time, Ahsan was her boyfriend. Her mother had expressed that she did not believe the marriage would work out and refused to support the union.
However, Manal also mentioned that her father was very supportive of her decision. “If you want to marry him, I will stand by you,” Manal recalled her father telling her at the time, offering his full support.
Aiman and Manal also spoke about the strong support they received from their father throughout their careers. Both sisters revealed that their father had a keen interest in the entertainment industry but had worked in the police force. Despite this, he always encouraged them to pursue their dreams and even accompanied them to auditions. He frequently told them, “My daughters will not be ordinary housewives; they will achieve something big.” His unwavering belief in their potential played a crucial role in their success.
It is worth mentioning that Manal Khan married Ahsan Mohsin Ikram on September 10, 2021. The couple welcomed their son, Muhammad Hassan Ikram, in November of the following year, marking a new chapter in their lives.
