Law Minister Confirms Removal of Names from ECL in £190 Million Scandal
Islamabad: Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar announced that the names of individuals involved in the £190 million scandal have been removed from the Exit Control List (ECL). Responding to a notice raised by PTI members in the National Assembly, Tarar emphasized that the process for removing names from the ECL involves a review, conducted in accordance with the Constitution and the law.
He explained that once a name is added to the ECL, it requires a review by the federal government, which is overseen by a subcommittee headed by him. “We listen to all review requests with full attention,” he stated, adding that individuals from previous administrations have also navigated this process.
