Hania Amir Faces Criticism for Celebrating Holi, Fans React on Social Media

Pakistani actress and model **Hania Amir** recently wished her Hindu followers a happy Holi by sharing pictures on Instagram, where she was seen wearing a **bindi** (a traditional forehead decoration). In the caption, Hania quoted a wise saying: “Don’t listen to bad things, don’t see bad things, so I don’t speak ill,” and added, “Happy Holi to all those who are celebrating.”
The images showed Hania Amir alongside two other women, all sporting bindis on their foreheads. However, Hania’s gesture did not sit well with many of her Pakistani followers, who started criticizing her on the post. Some accused her of trying to please her Indian fans, while others expressed their disappointment, stating that they would unfollow her from now on.
One user commented, “Choose one religion,” while another said, “You can adopt Hinduism. If you do, Bollywood will love you.” Some also questioned her Muslim identity, with one user asking, “Aren’t you Muslim?” and another writing, “You’re doing this during Ramadan.”
However, there were also fans who supported Hania Amir, praising her for spreading peace and love. One user remarked, “This bindi looks very beautiful on you,” while another pointed out that it was unfortunate that people were getting upset over a peaceful gesture, saying, “People from peaceful religions are getting angry over a bindi and a Holi wish.”
Despite the criticism, Hania’s supporters stood by her, reinforcing that respect for different cultures and religions is key.
