Government Employees’ Salary Increase and Relief Package Expected in Upcoming Budget

Islamabad: Preparations are underway for a salary increase for government employees, with a relief package likely to be announced in the federal budget for 2025-26.
According to sources, the government is considering a 30% disparity allowance for employees in grades 1 to 16. Additionally, a proposal is on the table to raise the salaries of employees in grades 17 to 22 by 15%.
The sources also revealed that a 10% increase in both salaries and pensions is being considered for the upcoming budget. Another proposal under consideration is the merger of the 2022 ad-hoc allowance into the basic salary.
These measures are expected to provide significant financial relief to government employees across various sectors.
