Four-Person Organized Group Arrested in Rawalpindi for Online Sexual Harassment and Blackmailing
Rawalpindi: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Circle Rawalpindi has arrested a four-member organized group involved in online sexual harassment and blackmailing. According to an FIA spokesperson, the group targeted underage girls through social media for harassment and extortion.
The accused, identified as Hamad Kiani, Talal Mustafa, Muhammad Nouman, and Hafiz Muhammad Hussnain, were apprehended following a raid in Rawalpindi using modern technology. The FIA seized their mobile phones during the operation, which contained incriminating evidence. The arrested individuals were found to have used WhatsApp and Snapchat to blackmail the victim, a young girl, and to exploit her for money.
Authorities also recovered objectionable content from the seized phones, including the victim’s private material, and discovered that the group had been blackmailing the victim and her family for several months. The accused managed to extort a total of 2.3 million Pakistani rupees and 6 tolas of gold from the victim’s family through coercion.
The perpetrators used vehicles to collect the extorted money, and investigations have revealed further details of their criminal activities. A case has been registered against the accused, and extensive inquiries are underway to uncover the full extent of their illegal operations.
