Efforts to Empower Female Prisoners Highlighted by Balochistan’s Women Development Advisor

Quetta:Dr. Rababah Khan Bledai, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on Women’s Development, emphasized the need for practical steps to rehabilitate female prisoners and bring positive changes to their lives. During a meeting with IG Prisons, Malik Shujaatuddin Kasi, and Secretary of Women Development, Syra Ata, she stressed the importance of providing not only basic facilities to female inmates but also psychological support, skill development, improvement of business capabilities, vocational training, healthcare, and career counseling.

Dr. Bledai expressed that the Balochistan government is taking all possible steps to ensure the welfare of female prisoners and is introducing sustainable reform policies in this regard. She highlighted that social progress requires equal opportunities for all segments of society, and it is crucial to adopt a comprehensive strategy to reintegrate female prisoners as productive members of society. She further mentioned that rehabilitation programs for female prisoners would be made more effective to ensure they lead dignified lives after their release.
