Islamabad:It is often said that no matter how clever a man may be, he can easily fall into a woman’s trap. Similarly, it is frequently heard that women are involved in most of the incidents of extortion in the country because men easily get caught in their allure.
A recent incident involving renowned Pakistani drama director Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has stirred a storm on social media, sparking interesting discussions among users.
On July 15th, Amina Arooj contacted Khalil ur Rehman Qamar late at night, claiming to be a big fan and expressing her desire to collaborate with him on a drama.
Khalil ur Rehman Qamar invited Amina Arooj to a location and they met in Bahria Town. However, armed individuals violently attacked them, demanding a large sum of money.
According to the FIR, Amina Arooj allegedly confined Khalil ur Rehman Qamar to a room. When the doorbell rang, she claimed it was the delivery boy for a package. However, upon opening the gate, seven armed men barged in and initiated the robbery.
How much money was taken from Khalil ur Rehman Qamar?
According to the FIR, the armed men allegedly took away Khalil ur Rehman Qamar’s purse, mobile phone, and demanded a transfer of more than Rs. 200,000 from his account.
Khalil ur Rehman Qamar informed the police that the perpetrators blindfolded him and kept him outside for a while, then demanded more money suddenly.
Khalil ur Rehman Qamar was shot near his feet.
The director narrated that the perpetrators had taken him out of the car and shot him near his feet. He said that he called his friend immediately after the incident and demanded a ransom of Rs. 1,000,000, but he refused.
The matter was highlighted in the media and police action was initiated to arrest the perpetrators.
