Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur Stayed at Circuit House in Mansehra After Leaving Islamabad
Mansehra: After the conclusion of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests in Islamabad, reports surfaced regarding the disappearance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister and Bushra Bibi, with speculations about their whereabouts circulating. However, new information reveals that Ali Amin Gandapur, Bushra Bibi, and former federal minister Omar Ayub are currently in Mansehra, where they will hold an emergency press conference at the residence of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker, Babar Saleem Swati, today.
Earlier, following a major crackdown on PTI protesters, rumors emerged that Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur had fled Islamabad in the same vehicle, heading towards Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, late into the night, Bushra Bibi’s sister, Maryam Watoo, claimed that Bushra Bibi was still in Islamabad. Subsequently, another statement from Maryam Watoo indicated that reports were coming in that Bushra Bibi had reached Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but she had not been in contact with her since the evening, raising concerns that she may have been abducted.
In response to the growing speculation, PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram released a statement on social media confirming that both Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur were safe, though he did not specify their exact location.
Following a night of uncertainty regarding their whereabouts, Timour Saleem, brother of Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, clarified that both Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi had arrived at the Speaker’s residence in Mansehra.
Further reports indicated that the two leaders had stayed overnight at the Circuit House in Mansehra, along with opposition leader Omar Ayub and Speaker Babar Saleem Swati.
