Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan Receives Threat from Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s Name

Mumbai:Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly received a threatening message linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. According to Indian media, an unidentified individual unlawfully entered the set of Salman Khan’s ongoing film shoot. When security attempted to stop the intruder, the individual allegedly threatened them by saying, “Should I call Lawrence Bishnoi?”

The individual was quickly detained and taken to the Shivaji Park Police Station for questioning.

The rivalry between Salman Khan and the Bishnoi gang dates back to 1998, when Khan, along with co-stars Saif Ali Khan and Tabu, was accused of poaching two blackbucks during the shooting of the hit film *Hum Saath Saath Hain* in Rajasthan. Since then, Salman Khan has faced repeated threats from members of the Bishnoi gang.

In 2018, Salman Khan was convicted by the Rajasthan High Court for the illegal hunting of blackbucks, though he was granted bail shortly thereafter.

This latest threat comes after a shooting incident in April 2023, when two armed assailants fired three rounds outside Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence, Galaxy Apartments, at around 5 am. The attackers fled the scene, but police later used CCTV footage to track and apprehend them. During their interrogation, it was revealed that the shooting was orchestrated by Lawrence Bishnoi, who had promised to pay the assailants ₹4 lakh to carry out the attack.

Currently, Salman Khan is busy shooting for his upcoming film *Sikandar*, which is scheduled to release during Eid 2025. In addition to his film work, Khan is also hosting the popular reality show *Bigg Boss 18*.
