BNP Remains Unshaken in its Struggle for Baloch National Rights: Statement

In a recent statement, the central leadership of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) emphasized the party’s steadfast commitment to its principles despite ongoing challenges and adversity. The statement recalled the legacy of the party’s martyrs and its resilient struggle against military dictatorships, especially during the era of General Pervez Musharraf.
The statement highlighted how BNP, under the leadership of Sardar Ataullah Khan Mengal and later Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, has consistently championed Baloch nationalist causes both at the national and international levels. It pointed out that more than 95 party leaders and workers had been targeted by death squads, but despite these sacrifices, the morale of the party remained unshaken.
The statement also underscored how the party faced attempts to weaken its resolve, including an incident where Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal was imprisoned and poisoned, but the movement was never deterred. The party continues to fight for the rights of the Baloch people and the resolution of the issues facing the province.
The BNP also criticized the establishment’s efforts to discredit and undermine its leadership through various means, including negative propaganda. However, the statement stressed that the people of Balochistan, with their strong awareness and unwavering commitment to their cause, remain united behind their leadership. Despite attempts to manipulate elections and weaken political forces, the public’s support for the party remains solid, as evidenced by the large turnouts at party rallies.
The statement further stressed that the BNP’s struggle for the recovery of missing persons and the protection of Baloch cultural and political rights continues. The leadership’s ongoing political efforts are seen as a testament to the party’s resilience, with recent organizational activities proving its strength to overcome challenges and conspiracies.
BNP reiterated that ideological parties cannot be dismantled by conspiracies and that it remains a vital force in Baloch politics, continuing its struggle for the resolution of Balochistan’s longstanding issues.
