Balochistan Government to Modernize Aviation Wing for Public Welfare: Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti

Quetta: A review meeting of the Balochistan Aviation Wing was held on Wednesday at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti. The meeting focused on the restructuring, operational efficiency, and the utilization of the Aviation Wing for public welfare. Captain Ali Azad, Director-General of the Balochistan Aviation Wing, gave a detailed briefing during the session.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary of Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Principal Secretary Babar Khan, Secretary of Finance Imran Zarkon, and other relevant officials. During the meeting, it was decided to expand the role of the Aviation Wing not only for VIP movements but also for emergency situations, rescue operations, and providing emergency services.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the Balochistan government would utilize all available resources to modernize the Aviation Wing in line with contemporary needs, making it an efficient institution for public welfare. He mentioned that the introduction of the Young Pilots Training Program would offer international-standard training to Balochistan’s youth, creating promising career opportunities that will pave the way for progress and prosperity in the province.
The Chief Minister highlighted that modern aviation facilities would be used for public welfare to ensure immediate response in case of emergencies. He underscored the importance of the Young Pilots Training Program under the Aviation Wing, which would play a key role in promoting aviation in the province.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti further stated that by providing modern training to young people, local aviation experts would be developed, who would not only benefit Balochistan but also Pakistan in the future. He emphasized that the Aviation Wing would create job opportunities by offering professional training to young pilots, enabling them to acquire global aviation skills and advance in the field.
The Chief Minister instructed that the infrastructure of the Aviation Wing be strengthened, and practical measures be taken to improve all its sectors. A comprehensive roadmap for its development was also to be presented. He also emphasized the adoption of a systematic approach for pilot training in Balochistan to ensure youth receive internationally recognized aviation training.
The meeting concluded with the commitment to restructure the Aviation Wing along modern lines, transforming it into a model institution for aviation that would serve not only Balochistan but the entire country, playing an integral role in VIP movements, emergency responses, rescue services, and other public welfare initiatives.
