Govinda and Komal Rani Were Planning to Marry? Sunita Ahuja Makes Startling Claim
MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, has made a fresh claim regarding her husband’s alleged relationship with actress Komal Rani Swarnakar, saying that the two were planning to get married.
“Govinda and Komal were planning to get married,” Sunita was reportedly heard saying during a conversation that has drawn renewed attention to long-standing speculation surrounding the alleged relationship.
According to Indian media reports, the remarks came during a conversation in Mumbai when actress Rakhi Sawant called Sunita Ahuja and put the call on speakerphone while speaking to photographers.
During the conversation, Rakhi also praised Sunita for withdrawing the divorce case she had filed against Govinda. In a light-hearted remark, Rakhi advised Sunita to have Govinda transfer Rs2 billion ($200 crore) in her name, joking that otherwise someone else might take the money.
The conversation came shortly after Sunita Ahuja withdrew the divorce petition filed against Govinda on August 19.
Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha, however, expressed disappointment over the couple’s private family matters reaching the court. He said family disputes were better kept within the home and that many issues could be resolved through communication.
He also questioned why the case had been filed in the first place if it was ultimately going to be withdrawn.
Rumours regarding tensions in Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s marriage have been circulating since February this year. Discussions about their private life in various interviews have further fuelled speculation about alleged differences between the couple.
The latest remarks have once again brought Govinda’s personal life and the reported relationship with Komal Rani into the spotlight.
