PM Shehbaz Expresses Displeasure Over Officials Riding Horse-Drawn Carriage

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed displeasure over the Inspector General of Islamabad and the Chief Commissioner riding in a horse-drawn carriage during an Independence Day ceremony on August 14.

According to official sources, both officials have been informed of the prime minister’s displeasure through a written communication from the Joint Secretary (Discipline).

The sources said the Chief Commissioner and IG Islamabad arrived at the ceremony riding in a horse-drawn carriage.

The letter, issued on the prime minister’s behalf, stated that such personal display was contrary to the principles of public service.

The prime minister also directed civil servants to refrain from such conduct and maintain simplicity in accordance with the principles of public service.
