Makkah Defense Pact Will Become a Guarantee for Regional Peace: Shahid Afridi

Lahore: Former Pakistan cricket star Shahid Afridi has congratulated Pakistan, Türkiye, and Saudi Arabia on signing the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement, describing it as a historic milestone for regional security and stability.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Afridi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the three countries, saying the agreement was not merely a matter of celebration but a major and historic development for peace and stability in the region.

He expressed hope that the agreement signed in the holy land would serve as a guarantee of regional peace and stability and that more countries would join the pact in the future.
