Aleem Dar Resigns from Pakistan Team’s Selection Committee

**Lahore:** Former international umpire **Aleem Dar** has stepped down from his role as a member of the Pakistan national cricket team’s selection committee.
According to media reports, he has submitted his resignation to the **Pakistan Cricket Board** (PCB). Aleem Dar had been appointed to the national selection panel on October 11, 2024.
Sources said that following Pakistan’s failure to reach the semi-finals of the T20 Cricket World Cup, Dar decided to relinquish his responsibilities.
With his departure, the selection committee now comprises **Aaqib Javed** and **Asad Shafiq**. Data analyst Usman Hashmi remains part of the panel but does not have voting rights; he provides performance-based analysis and guidance to the selectors.
The PCB has not yet issued an official statement regarding Aleem Dar’s resignation.
