President Zardari Hails Pakistan-Saudi Arabia-Türkiye Defense Pact as Historic Milestone

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has welcomed the historic Makkah Joint Defense Agreement signed between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye, describing it as a significant step toward promoting peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond.
In an official statement, President Zardari said the agreement would strengthen the three countries’ collective defense capabilities, enhance defense cooperation, and reflect their shared commitment to building a secure and prosperous future.
He added that the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement would further reinforce the longstanding brotherly relations and strategic partnership among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye.
The president also commended Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their role in advancing the landmark initiative.
Concluding his statement, President Zardari prayed that the agreement would bring lasting peace, security, and prosperity to the three participating nations as well as the wider Muslim world.
