Pakistan Government Announces Reduction in Petrol and Diesel Prices

Islamabad: The federal government has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products following a decline in global oil prices.
According to an official notification issued after approval by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs3.39 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs328.56 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has also been cut by Rs4.07 per litre, with the revised rate set at Rs385.86 per litre.
In addition, the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs3.58 per litre. Under the new pricing, kerosene will now be available at Rs301.64 per litre, down from the previous price of Rs305.22 per litre.
The revised petroleum prices came into effect after the issuance of the official notification for August 5, reflecting adjustments made in line with movements in the international oil market.
